Getting started
Sign in and your first week
You do not install anything. Signup collects the shop facts, PetPages drafts the pages, and you sign in to correct them before anyone else can see the site.
Create the shop
Account
Start free trial opens the signup form. The Account section is the owner login, not the public contact line.
- Site prefix becomes the address. Type sunny-paws and the live site will be sunny-paws.petpages.ai. Use lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens.
- Owner email is where verification, password reset, and billing mail go. It does not have to be the address printed on the website.
- Password is entered twice. It needs at least 5 characters, including a letter, a number, and a symbol.
- Public shop email is optional. If you fill it, that is the mailto address in the site footer. Leave it blank and add it later in the editor.
- The image captcha has to match before the form will submit. Refresh it if the picture is hard to read.
Your shop and locations
- Business name is required. About your business is optional, up to 2,000 characters. Write how you actually talk. The draft uses that voice.
- Logo is optional. If you upload one, the draft uses it and pulls matching colors. You can generate or replace the logo later in Look.
- Services you offer are checkboxes. Pick every one that is real. The first pages and the Book form’s service list come from this.
- Each location needs an address. Start typing and pick a suggestion, or type the street, city, state, and ZIP yourself. Phone is optional. Hours are not on this form — the draft fills a schedule, and you correct each weekday in the editor.
After you submit, building the pages usually takes about 20–60 seconds. You land in the editor with a Draft site. Pet parents cannot see it, and search engines are not asked to index it, until you press Publish.
Verify the owner email
A verification link goes to the owner email. You can keep editing before you click it, but a banner stays on the dashboard until the address is confirmed. Customer email sending expects that confirmation. If the link expires, use the banner to send another one.
Owner login
On Log in, leave the mode on Shop owner. The fields are Owner email and Password. Show password sits beside the password field if you want to check what you typed. Forgot password emails a reset link to that same owner address. It does not reset a staff password.
Password sign-in also asks for the image captcha. Face sign-in does not.
Sign in with face
This is optional, and it is per person. An owner face does not sign in a staff member, and the other way around.
- First time: type the password in the form, then choose Sign in with face. The password proves it is you before the face is saved. We store a face signature, not a photo.
- The scanner sits in the middle of the screen. Look straight, blink and open your eyes, then turn your head and come back. Hold still when it asks. Cancel closes it and returns you to the form.
- Later visits: Sign in with face can log you in without the password, as long as the scan matches the saved signature.
- A printed photo, or a still picture held up to the camera, will not pass. The scan has to see a blink and a head turn.
Staff login
Switch the form to Staff. Three fields replace the owner email: the shop URL (the site prefix, such as sunny-paws), the username from Staff accounts, and that person’s password. After sign-in they open Appointments. Website editor and AI Marketing are not in their menu.
If the owner turns on Sign in on your own website in the editor’s Shop tab, the same Staff fields appear on the shop’s own login page. The marketing Log in page still works either way.
Sign in from a phone, open the dashboard here
The login page has a QR under On your phone. Scan it, sign in on the phone, and this computer opens the dashboard. If the code points at localhost, some phone apps cannot open that address. Open this computer by its LAN address first (the page shows it, often a 192.168 address), then scan the new code.
More than one location
An owner with several shops uses the shop switcher in the dashboard. Appointments, customers, the editor, and AI Marketing all follow the shop you picked. Staff cannot switch. Each staff login is created against one location, and that is the only shop they see.
