This Privacy Policy describes how PetPages.ai (“PetPages,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our websites, hosted shop sites, and related services (the “Services”). It is written for customers and visitors in the United States. This document is a template for product launch and is not a substitute for legal advice; please have counsel review it before relying on it in production.

1. Information we collect

Account & shop data: name, email, password (hashed), shop name, subdomain prefix, service types, location addresses (including place IDs and coordinates when provided via mapping tools), logos, and site content you upload or generate.
Customer data you store: appointment and customer records you enter while using PetPages (you control this data as the business operator).
Usage & device data: log data, IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and approximate location derived from IP for security and diagnostics.
Payment data: processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers on PetPages servers.
Communications: messages you send to support or through notify features (email/SMS where configured).

2. How we use information

Provide, host, secure, and improve the Services.
Create and publish your shop website and marketing assets.
Power AI features (copy, imagery, and marketing drafts) using prompts and shop context you provide. Outputs may be imperfect; you are responsible for reviewing content before publishing.
Send transactional email (account, billing, security) and optional product updates.
Detect abuse, spam, and fraud (including captcha and rate limits).
Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. AI-generated content

PetPages may use third-party AI providers to generate text, images, or video based on your inputs. Do not include sensitive personal information about your customers in prompts unless you have a lawful basis and appropriate agreements. We and our providers may process prompts and outputs to deliver the feature; we do not sell your prompts as a standalone product.

4. How we share information

We may share information with:

Infrastructure vendors (hosting, databases, object storage, email/SMS).
AI, maps, payments, and analytics providers under contractual safeguards.
Professional advisors or authorities when required by law or to protect rights.
A buyer or successor if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share data for cross-context behavioral advertising as a core business model.

5. Cookies & similar technologies

We use essential cookies for authentication and security, and may use analytics cookies to understand product usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work if essential cookies are blocked.

6. Data retention

We retain account and shop data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, disputes, and legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account by contacting support@petpages.ai; some residual copies may remain in encrypted backups for a limited time.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures such as encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege credentials. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Children’s privacy

The Services are directed to business users, not children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Your choices (US)

Depending on your state, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of certain personal information, or to opt out of certain processing. To exercise these rights, email support@petpages.ai. We will verify your request and respond as required by applicable law.

10. International processing

PetPages primarily serves US businesses. Infrastructure or vendors may process data in the United States or other countries with appropriate safeguards.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version with an updated date and, when appropriate, provide additional notice.
